Good afternoon all,

I will be sitting for the exam in the next month or so and have a question that hopefully someone can answer.

There are a few sample questions on the PSI Candidate Information Bulletin, and one has me 100% stumped.

What is the minimum line width allowed by OCGA 15-6-67 for an 11 by 17-inch tracing?

a. 0.001 inch

b. 0.010 inch

c. 0.013 inch

d. 0.100 inch

Now sure, the answer would be great to have, but the bigger issue is that if I go to here:

Rules and Regulations for the Georgia Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Board | Georgia Secretary of State (ga.gov)

and then head to here:

Georgia General Assembly | PAW Document Page (lexis.com)

there's no mention of sheet sizes or line widths at all. The aforementioned Bulletin also gives a representative content outline which points me to both OCGA 15-6-67 as well as RULE 180-7-.07 which also makes no mention of map sizes and/or line thicknesses.

So, I wonder if the question is completely bogus or did the Official Code and/or Rules get changed and this question didn't get modified accordingly?

Thanks for any help.

I will say I'm halfway through Mr. Cadle's book and the genesis of the State of Georgia is very interesting compared to the states in the northeast.

"The minimum line widths and letters or character heights delineated on such maps or plats shall be sufficient to be legible when copied or scanned at a resolution of 300 d.p.iI. "

I think ALL CAPS and the right font allow you to go as low as 0.06. That's what I've been taught, anyhow. Apparenlty, this rule replaced the specific text height.
