Robert M. “Bob” Buhler, age 93, PLS # 1403, passed away on April 6, 2023 at his home in Katy, Texas. In 1953, after graduating from NC State University, Bob began his career as a land surveyor in North Carolina, starting his own business in 1957 in Graham, NC. He held the office of County Land Surveyor for Alamance Co. from 1958 until 1963, when he obtained his Georgia license and moved to Conyers, GA. In 1964 he started his own land surveying business and retired in 2010. Throughout his career in Georgia, Bob was a member of SAMSOG, and served for a period of time as the President of the Atlanta Chapter. Over the 47 years that he was in business in Conyers, seven of his employees went on to become PLS’s.
