It contains useful information for surveyors who work in Savannah, as well as information that should be of interest to surveyors in general.  The Savannah City Hall Archives has thousands of plats, maps, and fieldnotes of the city, made by the city's surveyors and engineers, many of which are not recorded in the courthouse, that go back to the 1790s.
