Chapters
 Chapters are the basic unit of the Society. Chapter meetings provide the primary focus for members and are their principle source of information about State activities affecting Land Surveyors and the surveying profession.
Chapters do have certain State responsibilites in addition to their primary purpose of coordinating meetings and programs of interest for their membership. Innovative or interesting programs should be written for publication in the Georgia Surveyor and/or SAMSOG News. Chapters should encourage member participation on State Committees.
